That’s great! Many people guage their flocks comfort by their own doing much more than really needed. Plastic goes along way to aiding your flock in surviving winter. All I do is wrap my coops in plastic and allow them to do they rest. They come factory installed with heavy down winter coats...
Thanks so much. I had to cull my boys due to corona as well. I had to make the decision that what I feed during this hard time had to count. Feeding extra boys became a problem and I had to make a hard decision. If I did not cull them the whole flock would not get the nutrition they needed.
Hi everyone,
Like everyone else in the world who is dealing wiht covid-19 it has been hard and I have had to make some hard choices.
For several weeks I have had a hard time getting ahold of chicken feed. People hordes it and now due to supply chain

I thought about that too. Just open the coops and let them take care of themselves. I hate to say that but it may be the only way for them to have a chance at survival.
Has anyone given any thought to how they are going to care for their flocks if they get the corona virus?

Does anyone else worry about this?
What are your plans?
Thanks.

Thanks! Yes, there is gunk inside his beak. Could not get a good pic will try again tomorrow.
Do you know if there is an egg withdrawal after using the copper sulfate.
I am pretty sure that he has canker. I will try the copper sulfate and see if he improves. Thanks for all the help.
I did some research and found that API General Cure for aquariums is a good treatment for canker. Can someone tell me how much to use and for how long.
Thanks so much.
After reading replies and doing some reproach I think canker is the most likely culprit. I have read a wide variety of treatments such as copper sulfate and parasite treatment used in aquariums and ponds.
What I am not sure of is the dosage. Can anyone who has been down the road before please...
