    Separating Chicks from Flock at Night

    How old are your chicks. I was wondering when I could put them in with the girls. The girls are about 7 weeks. The chicks are 1 & 2 weeks old. I am new to this. I don't know how to introduce the chicks to the older girls.

    I love reading what everyone post. We just finished our coop tonight. I will try to post pics soon. Due to threat of stormy weather the girls should be in house by the weekend.

    Play sand, construction sand, natural sand, etc. So confused!!

    Thank you for answering my unspoken question about sand. I have 6 chicks in a 30"x48" dog pen in my den. We are building coop and run. Coop almost done. Starting on run tomorrow. Love the chicks. This is the first for us. They are very entertaining.
