I got 4 chicks a month ago at farmandfleet. I got a light brahma, a barred rock, a black austrolorp, and a mystery chick. The mystery chick was also supposed to be a black austrolorp. However, I don't think it actually is. My best guess is an ancona? Any input is helpful! Here is a picture:

I'm wanting to get chicks however, I will be raising them outside. Temps get down to -20 here so I'm not really sure what to use. Last year I used heat bulbs but after several days of use they shattered. So I don't want to use those again.

I am looking at getting some muscovy ducks, my first question is, will it be fine if I get a flock of 10? (3 males 7 females). Second question is how much space do I need for 10 ducks? I would free range them year round and my current coop is 4x8 will that be fine?
