Thank you. Yes, we have a secure coop at night. We have tried to cover it up at night to block light but it hasn't made a difference. They go crazy in the morning, letting us know it's time to get up. Sounds like a flock of geese in the yard - I had no idea how noisy chickens could be!- Laurahere

Freaking out over chicken noise - Help!
I (unfortunately) feel your pain. I'm going through the same thing right now. I ordered an acoustic blanket to cover them with at night which should reduce the light and buffer the noise a little. I can't think of anything to do about the hollering that goes on when one notices her sister...- Laurahere
