    BLRW chicks need home.

    We have several 6 week old BLRW cockerels looking for homes. Location is in the mountains of NC between Asheville and Boone.

    Chick feed?

    My understanding is keep them on starter/grower until 16 weeks old or when they start to lay. Then, switch them to layer feed. I’m not sure about 20% protein. The starter/grower I use is 18%.

    I’ve had chickens for 10 years and just had a horrible infestation of lice. I carefully sprayed my chickens with permethrin and cut off some of the feathers with nits and pulled some off. I repeated the process 10 days later. Chicken lice live on the chicken. I don’t think the life span of lice...

    We put ours down around the edges with a staple gun.

    I am using an IPad and also having a message pop up that says the rich text editor is not compatible with my browser. The browser on this IPad is Safari.

    ??? Watery Poop ??? Any advice

    Maybe having a vet do a fecal test would be a good idea. My chickens had watery poop last year and resulted they had capillary worms.

    Put pinless peepers on the ones doing the pecking. Works great and has ended all pecking problems for me!
