    My Runners aren't very.. runner-y.

Quote: I got mine from a private breeder in Nova Scotia....they stand so tall LOL Well...lol...so far! I hear sometimes they start out tall and as they mature they sometimes lose it. She got hers from Holderreads Waterfowl which is supposed to be some of the best from what I have heard. If...

    My Runners aren't very.. runner-y.

Quote: I was going to say the same thing about their heads and neck...the slope of the forehead and beak bare a Runner-like resemblence.

Muscovies: I've been told that they won't...

Muscovy's can be crossbred with other ducks to create Mule Ducks for slaughter. Here's a quote from another website: "The Muscovy Duck can be crossed with mallards in captivity to produce hybrids, known as moulard duck ("mule duck") because they are sterile. Muscovy drakes are commercially...

I have heard lots of complaints about the conformation and posture of the Indian Runners ordered from hatcheries (although there are good ones too I am sure!). So when I realized I was going to have to order babies from far away because no one locally had Runner ducklings here that I could...

    trembling legs?

Wow that is a beautiful kind of chocolate-like colour! How pretty! My 2 largest runner babies (1 month old) sit like that too... The other two don't. I emailed the breeder and she got back to me yesterday (somehow I missed the email in my inbox until now) says that some of the shaking is just...

Quote: The two Pekins of the neighbors that I take care of are such talkers!! I think it is so funny that they have to have a "running commentary" or should I say "quacking commentary" whilst doing everything! LOL

    Pick a duck for me!

Quote: Whoops didn't see the "no fly" requirement ...you're right...if she wants them not to fly hahaha maybe don't do Muscovies then. But the ones I take care of (the neighbors...I only have ducklings too young to fly yet..) at least always come back they don't fly away permanently. Mostly...
