Will a rehomed chicken run away to her previous owner?

She can't see his house or anything, we live in an extremely rural area. He's our neighbor but it's about a 15 minute walk to his house, so not super close, but also not so far she couldn't find him, either. So far she doesn't really seem quite happy here, yet. I'm sure she's probably still in...

Will a rehomed chicken run away to her previous owner?

I've searched this topic on here and on Google and haven't found any answers pertaining directly to my specific question. About a couple of weeks ago, my neighbors flock was attacked during the night and only one survived. Rather than starting over, he asked us to take her in, as we already...

I have 5 Cayugas and 3 Khaki Campbells, and a Khaki Campbell/Rouen cross. The Cayugas came from TSC and the Khaki Campbells were adopted. I'm so proud of how well they grew to get along.💕

Leghorn will only lay eggs by my feet?

That seems very sweet, although I do have a rooster, does that mean she doesn't like or trust him?

Leghorn will only lay eggs by my feet?

I'm new to chickens, and although my husband is not, he says he hasn't seen this type of laying behavior before. My leghorn has just started laying eggs a few days ago and so far for each one she's laid, she will sit in the nesting box for about a half hour, but will then come looking for me and...

    Hi, I'm Lenny!

Hi everyone, I'm Lenny and I don't really live in a swamp. However I do have a pond with a marsh. I'm fairly new to chickens and ducks, we just started our flock in March, they are just starting to lay. (2) I currently have 5 chickens and 9 ducks. We started off with 7 chickens, but...
