Thanks, I just got a bunch of new chickens and they just turned around 14 weeks old. Maybe he is teaching them. He has been great around the baby chicks. He was making sounds like the hen does. Thanks for the info. I had no idea, it makes me love him more.
I have 2 at 7 weeks old, I think the one on the branch is a pullet and the one on the ground is a cockerels but just guessing be cause the tail feathers are longer.
I butcherd a few red rangers at 14 weeks to see how i like the meat. The hens where small and mostly dark meat and very yellow skin. The males are a good looking meat bird. i have them in a ice water bath for a few days i will let you know how good the meat is soon.

I have this female turken, i want to breed her to the red rangers. I saw you had a mix like this. Do you think it helped to make the turkens more meaty when you mixed the two breeds?
