Sorry I took so long to respond my computer had crashed and I just got back up and running.
All the plans came from long hours of figturing it all out myself with pencil and paper.also quite a few changes were made during construction to make things fit. Sorry but they no longer exist.
I did add...
Started a couple of years ago as I watched more and more of my neighbors getting laid off.I'm 60 years old and close to retirement. I thought about what I would do every day if I didn't have to go to work. That was when I decided to start learning everything I could about becoming self...
Red White and Blue the Coop
This project started with spending the entire winter drawing numerous rough prints and incorporating ideas from BYC members along the way. Thanks to all of you for your help.
Getting started to prevent anything digging into the run I laid out the footprint of the...
I laid out a handfull of seeds yesterday. Put them between two moistened paper towels on a cookie sheet and put them in the oven. Pilot flame keeps it about 90 degrees in there. When I checked them a little while ago I found about ten percent of them had already sprouted. There is probably two...

Not sure I would want to have to find the time to husk all those seeds. The young lady at the feed store told me that they were probably heated after harvesting to dry them for storage not necessarily to prevent germination. She also gets volunteers around her feeder. Going to dampen...
Thanks all. There is no label on the bag whatsoever so I guess I will just have to try and sprout some and see what happens. Do other varieties of sunflower have the same benefits? I have a packet of Mammouth Russian but the seeds are white with black stripes. I'm guessing there can't be too...
Has anyone taken black oil sunflower seeds from the feed store or TSC and successfully germinated them? A 25 lb. bag just cost me $10.00 and I have room to grow my own. Would it be a waste of time to plant seeds that I buy in bulk?

My Nephew lives in a housing plat similar to what you describe. They would not even allow an outdoor garden shed. He just went ahead and put one in anyway. The HOA sent him numerous letters telling him to take it down but he refused. Once other homeowners saw his they started putting...
