So I am fostering a chicken chick (3-4 weeks old now?) who was surrendered to a rescue, probably looking to adopt. Not sure if she was incubated artificially. so my first question is, can chickens loose broody behaviors if incubated? I...
Anyone out there from Australia that knows anyone with fertile quail eggs??? Who can get them in overnight?
I was going to pick up new eggs today but the people we reserved eggs with 2 weeks ago, told us today they didn't have any fertile eggs as we were driving down to go pick them up...
Hahaha, surely a keeper!! makes me think of my husband, he has never bred anything in his life, and is going about analysing our quail everyday and selecting which ones of best temperament should be bred :D (we only have 3roosters and 7hens...)
As the title says, all my quail are laying but one... And I am a little bit concerned,
This girl I bought with the rooster and unknown of their ages, then I got another 4hens around 6-7 weeks of age. The ones I know the age of are laying...
I am just worried she could be pretty old, or if...

Everytime I google an enquiry, I always seem to find this site, so here I am~
My husband and I bought a few quail, (slightly on impulse) and now learning heaps...we both owned and know how to care for heaps of animals...
well, I can't see anything crawling around anyone, so I assume that means no mites...
someone has diarrhea, can't pin point if it is this one....can't see any other symptoms... but a bit of weight loss, which made me think worms...
Is laying on the side a symptom? She just seems to lay on her...

I was picking them up to move them out for a bit whilst I clean out the cage, and one of the girls...just felt weak
This one coming from the farmer, I'm affraid among the masses she picked up something.... So before I accidently kill off everyone, is it okay to worm them?
