Pullet has a wobbly head and walks side to side.

She was a lil shaky as a chick, but I thought maybe it'd go away. She does everythign the others do, just with a bit more character. I couldnt find anything on the internet of what it could be, so here I am. I can try and post a video later. Im wondering if she is deficient in something, or it...

    SPeckled Hamburg: Pretty(Annoying)

Hi! I used to live in Southern Pines a few years back. I might have to find her a new place. The flock is doing great today. I wish I could keep her separate until the young hens were bigger than her. That might help!

    SPeckled Hamburg: Pretty(Annoying)

Juanita is her name! She's so pretty. Blue legs and ears. Her two buds were murdered y the neighbors dog and I swear she's been crazy since.

    SPeckled Hamburg: Pretty(Annoying)

I have a speckled Hamburg, raised from a chick, who is 7 months old now. She is a new breed for me. I'm not sure if I like her that much. She is wild, and flighty, and will not let my other younger hens eat, sleep in the coop, or be near the others. She is pretty much causing my new hens to go...

    Egyptian Fayoumi Rooster

Thats a good idea! Ya, he is fancy. I dont even feel like those pictures do him any justice. I did look into crow collars. . My neighbors like him. ITs us in the house. He crows for four hours straight, non stop. I guess when its winter we will have the windows shut :)

    Egyptian Fayoumi Rooster

I live in Haywood county North Carolina if anyone wants a big beautiful Egyptian Fayoumi! I am willing to take a reasonable drive to his new home. Hes timid around humans but very territorial and protective over his hens. He is a good rooster but I live in town and even though my neighbors...

Impacted crop at night and won't hold head up this morning.

Well, she passed about an hour ago. I purchased 4 hens that were Blue Sapphires- they've all become sick in some way or another. My comets are fine and my newer batch that I made sure were vax'd, are doing great. I just never had so many problems with chickens before- and I hate to relate it to...

Impacted crop at night and won't hold head up this morning.

She's a little over a year old. She laid for sure the day before yesterday. She seems a little under weight compared to my other hens now just holding her. She was totally fine yesterday. Pooping all over my porch and being herself. I came home after work and she was standing with her wings a...

Impacted crop at night and won't hold head up this morning.

One of my hens had a big balloon crop a few weeks ago. I emptied it, kept her separate and she was fine. Last night I come home to same thing. I emptied, put her up and this morning she can't stand or hold her head up. I emptied her out, what was left. Now it's just grit in her drop. Shes...

    Merek's Disease

Thank you for this! I don't plan on breeding. My hens are primarily for eggs and compost makers. I definitely do not want any newbies to get it, so unless I find vaccinated chicks, I won't be introducing more to the flock.
