What are you feeding them? I don't have to grind at all because I feed a game bird starter crumble. So depending on what you are feeding my answer could lead you astray. Brad

I have my breeders in my garage. I just have a 50 watt light bulb in the light fixture on the ceiling. I turn it on at 6 am and turn it off at 8 pm. Brad
