    Girls in the snow

Pretty sure they hate it. The only reason they went out was I was cleaning water dish of ice

    Some of my birds

Honestly I don't know. My Amish neighbor gave me a rooster and hen for free because they kept cross breeding with his other bantams. He is a bantam of som sorts. They are half the size of my 13wk Rhode Island reds as he is 1yr old.

    Some of my birds

This is our friendliest hen Fiona. She comes running to us once we walk out door or in her run. She loves hanging out with my boxer(dog) when we let her. She is the odd one in the flock

My birds won't leave the coop

So I picked my new and only chickens up the other day. They were hatched on July 1st and I had them in coop a while and now when I open door they don't want to come out. Seems like they are having a blast kicking around in the coop though. Who needs tv when you have a hen house

    Picking up my new flock

Ok getting my 5 Rhode Island reds tomorrow. How and what is the best way to transport pullets? I was going to use my dog carrier. It's for large dogs

    Rhode Island reds

Ok I'm new to this. Getting my birds this weekend. Finally finished fencing and building a recycled coop out of a old out building. So the question is what kind of food. Pellet or 'mash? They will have alot of roaming room to walk and free roam.
