Some times there is no reason they just die, it not because you have or haven't done something they just do. Out of 30 hatched silkes we only had 21 make it to adult birds. It's sad as you put so. Much effort in looking after them and that's the reward.. Dont blame your self ..!

Thank you both for your help dotty was given calcium at the vets and was fed a layers pellet but we will be introducing extra calcium to our hens, ducks and silver pheasants, although we have lots of pets our goose was a real part of the family, she wandered in and out like she owned the place...
