    Ah, that's okay. I'm not upset that he's not pure Ameracauna. I'm glad to know his gender finally though. The curiosity was driving me nuts. :) He's a very sweet roo.

    I have a blue Ameracauna, that's about six months old, and i cant tell if this is a roo or a hen. Ive named it Smoke and it hasnt started crowing and ive had it since about four weeks of age. My first Ameracauna, actually. Can anyone take a guess to the gender?

    I appreciate that. Well, the humidity meter says the humidity in my house is 69%. Inside of the incubator, with no water now, is 99%. That is extemely high.

    My mother, who also owns chickens and lives next door to me, told me a hawk snatched one of her Cuckoo Maran chicks. Nothing left but a pile of black feathers. I've penned up all my chickens. I spotted the hawk again when I went out to put out new water. He's truly a massive bird.
