    first egg today!!!

    We started getting our first eggs too. The kids race out to check for them often. My oldest wouldn't let us eat any until we had a dozen! Lol. It was his experiment. Some are getting bigger and others are oddly shaped. Today we didn't find any. They taste great & it is eggciting:)

    At what age do you decide which birds are better for show? My oldest black Ameraucana roo is gorgeous at 6 months, but the younger batch is only 4 months.

    How old are your Ameraucanas when you pick a nice show quality bird? I have too many Roos but want to keep the nicest. I am studying some hatched end of March, so they are only 16 weeks. My oldest roo is 6 months old and beautiful. Just want to see how others decide:)
