Ameraucana breed

How old are your Ameraucanas when you pick a nice show quality bird? I have too many Roos but want to keep the nicest. I am studying some hatched end of March, so they are only 16 weeks. My oldest roo is 6 months old and beautiful. Just want to see how others decide
