    You are so right Wynette i was at a egg show early this month and won first place in black copper. The judge told me that shine is better then dull and the three must be the same you could have two great eggs and one not so good bad for them all.

    You are so right Don the sop allowes for some spotting in the chest.this is the French standard most breeders here in the usa breed for a all black chest. I thought we all where breeding for the French standard?

    Well Mr. C.H. what about white on the legs or feet? I have had some birds with white on one wing primaries wing tips on two or three feathers. I have had a hard time finding and breeding perfect birds. There has to be a starting place and breed up.

    six weeks are longer he is about 18 months this is his first molt no other feather lost I can see just his tail.

    Don you are so right you always have a clear insight into this birds. Take a look at this hen she has a very large comb and wallets and tried to crow what do you think. I thank she may have a little male in her.
