    I love that fluffy "beard" that my roos inherited from their mother...so funny. I can't tell, do yours have that, too?

    Beautiful birds!! I love their colors! I have lost 4 birds to a raccoon but have 6 left. It seems that 5 out of the 6 are roosters!!!! Here are some photos of them.

    Hi from Mapleton, Iowa! I have a small acreage and about 20 hens plus a rooster. We just had a surprise batch of cochin/ameracauna chicks hatch and are thrilled. The mother had kept them well hidden! Here is a photo of them: Here is the mother: and here is the father:

    I was googling this as my brown ameracauna hen just hatched 10 babies, the roo being a yellow cochin. They are adorable and I will try to post some pics.
