    Luckiest with the chicken though. We gave our broody hen some Fertile duck eggs and Fertile quail eggs and she threw all of them out

    Anconas. But after some cruising around on this site for a while I think one of the parents are mixed because 2 babies don't look like mum and dad 🤣

    Babies with mama are 7 weeks old now and 4 of them are loudly honking everywhere they go 🥰 the other two are still peep chirping. This is my first time raising ducklings and this has been so much fun

    Months after. And no, there's are my only ducks. One of the ducklings looks like my jatz but the rest are spotty.

    No sounds at all yet. Not even a rasp. Still just peeping. Attached picture of parents in other comments, but here's another from when er brought them home.

    Still no quacking. Almost 6 weeks now. Someone said it doesn't look like an ancona duckling. But mum and dad are both anconas :/

    Jatz is 4 weeks old on the 24th. Gee that time flew by, huge duck already. I know jatz hasn't got adult feathers yet, but is that curve in its tail just because or is Jatz a boy? I don't mind either way of course.

    Mama and babies have been in the secured coop now and do go inside the house that is inside the secured coop. Theyre safe and growing like weeds :)

    I've updated my profile - I am in Australia. If she wouldn't raise the quail babies we could take them and put them in the brooder - we have 3 brooders of different sizes

    Very equipped for more babies if needed. Quail eggs are smaller but the shells are thicker.

    There's a pen around the coop. I'm just nervous about bothering her with the babies to much - will it be ok?
