    Tractor Supply Pine Shavings

    My chicks have had TS small pine shavings since they were days old. They pick at it but I haven't had any problems from them at all. It's a whole lot cheaper than hay here.

    Had my leghorns out there with their lamp since they were 3 weeks. They're six now and I'm getting ready to pull the lamp for good.

    Just think it's funny how you add in labor and equipment costs like these are the only two chickens you are raising. Seems to me like you're just trying to pass the buck to someone else who seems to be in need of a couple chickens? I understand the food cost but anything else is stretching it...

    Charge what you feel is fair. In my area in VA I've saw them go from $10-$25. I found it was cheaper to just to buy the chicks, a heat lamp, and wait. If they pay more than $25 they're a sucker!
