Americana experts! Is this a pullet or a cockerel?

Thanks sealer39, my thoughts exactly. We decided to pass. The owner is just a little too anxious. They have plenty of room and the "pullet" is right now living with the little chicks. Someone else wanted "her" but couldn't come for a week and he said no. Why else would he care?

Americana experts! Is this a pullet or a cockerel?

Do you think this 6 week old Americana is a pullet? I'm being told so but have been burned before. I've edited my post with a picture of her/his head as requested by a couple of you. I'm not the owner, the head shot is what the owner sent me this morning. I'm considering taking her in because...

    Is this Americana a pullet?

They're getting rid of this one because the flock's "mother" won't allow her close and keeps chasing her away "no matter how many times we try". Yes, the AM we had that turned out to be a rooster, I remember his legs/feet seeming bigger and as soon as his saddle feathers started to get pointy, I...

    Is this Americana a pullet?

Here's a picture of her/his head. I'm not the owner but considering taking her in because I'm worried about when people try to sell one chicken but I have the space and means to integrate her safely and slowly. So... Pullet or rooster? What do you all think?

Chicken acts egg bound but is not...

I'm on my last hope here. I have an Americauna who started walking really slow then not coming out of coop and preferred to sit in nesting box. That was about 4 days ago. She's had this kind of not feeling great behavior before and when we gave her Nutri-drench in water a couple days, she was...

We actually found a nice home for Peck in Layton at a veteranarian's farm. He's free ranging with tons of girlfriends! ;)

4 month old Easter Egger Rooster needs re-homing - Sandy, Utah

Our cute Easter Egger named Peck has started to crow and we can't have roosters in Sandy. We desperately want him to find a good home. Text 801-243-3378 or reply here. Thank you.

My Ameraucana is different breed and also is she a he? Please look at my pictures and HELP! ;)

Thanks Drumstick Diva. I'm sad but know this is certainly true now. I'm in the process of trying to find him a good home... as good as the environment we've been giving him.

Aw, darn it! I don't care whether they're true Ameraucanas but I'm bummed out about Peck being a cockerel. We're not able to have roosters in our area so I'll be trying to give him off to a good home, I guess. :( Thanks for taking the time to give me your input.

My Ameraucana is different breed and also is she a he? Please look at my pictures and HELP! ;)

Here's our 4 month old chicken, Peck. We purchased her at 8 weeks with two other Ameraucana pullets. Peck has always been suspect as an Easter Egger since her legs are yellow, not slate like the other girls. I had a person who's been raising chickens for 30 years look at pictures of Peck, and...

We only have 2 chickens left :(

Thank you all for your great perspectives and advice. And Mrs. K, you are so right about learning about the circle of life lesson. My husband and I agreed that this was, though hard, a good life lesson for our son. Okay, I think getting some new babies to integrate into the "family" is where...

We only have 2 chickens left :(

Hello all, For the past three years, we have been caregivers to 3 Buff Orpingtons that we raised from 4 weeks old. Last month, our beautiful Scarlet died suddenly. We were so sad and our 12-year old son was devastated. It was an experience that makes me wonder if I want to go through that...
