    We bought this guy to be our flock rooster. We choose him from the bin at TSC because he had a huge comb. He’s now 12 weeks and we can’t decide if he’s a late bloomer or a she. His tail is arched and scraggly. But his comb has no red at all. Thoughts?

    "My house became a chicken coop. How did this happen!"

    This is hilarious! We had to make our chicks a bedroom in a section of our garage last year because we got chicks BEFORE we built the coop. Needless to say, this year we built a tractor for the new little ones before we got them. You make do with what works, then learn from the experience.

    I'm a new chick mama and I'm not sure of the sex of my barred rock babies. They are approximately 12-13 weeks old. Both color wise look similar. Both have the dark color down the fronts of their legs. Both have combs, but one is more bright red in color. One is also much larger, and the smaller...
