I have an adult bird that just started star gazing. He looks straight up, especially when stressed and starts flipping onto his back and flopping around. It started about a week ago. I don't know what triggered it. I've tried adding vitamins to the water. It doesn't seem to be improving at all...
So...can golden laced and tolbunt be bred together? I saw someone selling eggs that states they are gold laced split to tolbunt and that you can hatch either. Is this acceptable practice in the polish world?
I have had this happen twice. The first was a torn off comb with a little of the skull showing. Neosporin and some tlc and she healed.
Yesterday I found a pullet that had her whole skull exposed, the ear was pulled out of the canal, with only small flaps of skin left hanging over her eyes. I...

I just lost my year old welsummer rooster a month ago. I found him lethargic on the ground with his comb turning black. These are the only symptoms he had. No cold symptoms, no respiratory distress, and no injuries that I could see. They don't free range. They have free access to...
Who would you all recommend for true black silkies? Prefer black to black breeding and I would like hatching eggs if possible. I plan to use them to improve my self blues and cuckoos so they need to be exceptional quality stock. Thanks!
It means he is carrying the lavender gene although he doesn't look lavender. So if he is bred to lavender or split hens, he can produce lavender chicks. I actually have one that looks exactly like him from Karen's eggs.
Thank you! Wow that makes so much sense about the other foot having 5 toes. Never looked at it like that. I'm glad to get the definite response about what is easier to breed out too. That helps a whole lot with my decision making.
