I have 4 young chicks and when I checked on them yesterday I discovered a wound similar to yours except on her head. The chicks are completely separated from the older hens so the only way she could have got injured is by one of the other 3 chicks. Hard to believe one of them would do that to...

Wobbly chick. Weak, Nurological, or something else?

Looking back my chick was about 4 weeks when he started showing symptoms. I hope you can figure out what's going on with yours.

Wobbly chick. Weak, Nurological, or something else?

Could be merricks, had a chick a couple years back with that condition. I tried to address it nutritionally, he had some days better than other days, never cured. I believe most people cull chicks with this condition,no cure as far as I know. Sorry :(

    Jersey Giant VS Brahma

I have both, giants and brahmas both do good in cold in my experience. Brahmas eat less, both are good foragers though..tough call.

    Leghorn x White Jersey Giants

I hope the offspring of that mix get the personality of the Jersey Giant and not the Leghorn...haha. Could end up with a Giant mean chicken. I have Black Jersey Giants and they are absolutely wonderful, very docile and good layers. I would love to have white ones.

    grumpy rooster

It seems every morning when I let my flock out of their coop my rooster chases the hens around and not in a nice or amorous way. Why is he so grumpy? Is it cause hes cooped up all night with a bunch of women..haha. Just wondering if anyone out there knows why.. Thanks Luckeychicken
