She really looks like one doesn’t she!
I’m hoping she’s a girl but it’s also sad if I have to sell the other alone, as I’m not allowed to keep roosters in my area :( but I sell them to a good place so he would be fine just sad
Hey guys I bought two green egged chicks and raised them up and they’re starting to look a bit like roosters tbh they may be mixed breed as I’m pretty sure one has some black australorp in it I’ll post pictures as chicks and current and you guys can help me out I guess, not sure how old they are...
Haha, I think I’m going to go with the pullets they’re just too cute! Might be convinced to get some battery hens later on though! I lov isa browns but I think she needs more flock and less stress lol
Hey guys just recently my whole flock was attacked, with one survivor
After spending over 200$ on vet bills I really can’t afford to buy any pullets of regular size but I have found some bantam pullets and ex battery hens
What do you think I should go with? The pullets a less than half the...
They look mostly like plymouth chicks but all are slightly different, some have little brown wyandotte spots like what their father had and one has little white eyebrows!
One seems so be almost entirely black and some are more grey
They look like little penguins 😂
Oh also they all have rose...
Here they are!
Theres seven in total from eight eggs and they all look slightly different and so i can tell whos who yay! :celebrate All very cute and happy with a mixture of weird and normal names 😂
Oh and i posted this from my old account by accident whoops!!
I have put it in several times so that when i do leave it in there the others sort of know it gradually, i left it in the incubator do that it could dry properly and learn to stand
Most of my chicks hatched on day 20 but one hatched on day 23, now that the chick has dried mostly it sits at the window of the incubator crying for attention and i mean CRYING😭
I feel so bad for it but it just isnt quite strong enough to take on six curious and somewhat mean chicks, these...
Ive got a 1 year old quail hen whose sister passed away recently, i was wondering if i could introduce a bantam chicken of some sort to her, she is rather kind she has never attacked any bird in her life and shes so lonely but i cannot get another quail and they’d probably attack her anyway...
Shes been set for a bit longer than a week, would it still work? The quail is coturnix which are not meant to go broody and have been bred out of it EXEPT for a few shes been broody before hand hatched two chicks. AND I DONT HAVE A CRATE would a plastic bottemed cat carrier work?!
my hen is broody and is aggressive, i cannot have any more chickens and as such cannot get her eggs or chicks (i really want to thought) how do i break her broodiness, and if anyone knows how to break a broody quail... that would also be helpful!
