    is oak wood corrrosive on metal?

    need to make a set of gripps for an old revolver of mine, have a piece of liveoak here but saw on net that oak can corrode metal cuz of the high tallic acid content compared to other woods, any thoughts?

    i thought they were golden laced wyandottes too cuz i had them b4, they just dont seem too bee as "husky" as i remember lol, any guesses one the brown ones with face fluff? black ones?
