    My sweet EE, Opal, is 7 weeks and started getting her beard feathers this week. So far, she is the biggest of my 5 other breeds and the boss hen. Very sweet to me!

    Don't you just love their plans! We did the same only enlarged it a few feet Added electricity and poop board. There are pics under my article about it. Good luck with your chicks. Mine are 5 weeks now and have been in the coop for a week. Everything has worked out great!

    They are ALL named, of course. I only have 6. Georgette is my only Polish though. I decided on that breed at the last minute and so glad I did. She has a big personality. I named her in honor of my husband, George. He was very amused. :D

    Definitely! I use a regular waterer for the Sav-A-Chick probiotics and electrolytes. When I stop giving them that, I will eliminate that sloppy thing. I change it 3 to 4 times a day because of all the poop that gets in it! :barnie The nipples are cheap too. Found mine on eBay. 10 for $3.60...
