    Update on farm fresh, free range egg prices

    I'm in southern New Mexico and I get $4/dozen for my eggs but I've seen them go for as low as $2.50 on Craigslist. The money collected goes to my son anyways. He feeds, waters, collects, cleans, and free ranges them so he deserves it.

    Great info BYC, I searched for two minutes before I found this topic that I was looking for. Very nice, indeed. I'm introducing 3 Barred Rock chicks into my flock of 7. 3 RIR's, 2 Orphs, and 2 EE's.

    what time do your chickens get up?

    Rekindling an old post, I have 7 hens and while they turn in at dusk to hen house they are usually out and about an hour or so before sunrise. Sometimes even earlier. Is this normal? I mean it's pitch black and they kind of wander around the run. I'll turn on the light to the run to check on...

    So, how long have you had the artificial grass in the nest boxes? That's amazing that there is no droppings in the nests. I might have to give that a try. thanks for sharing.

    I have an established honeysuckle vine that they love to eat. Its climbed up so far that they can only get to the lower leaves.
