Thank yall so much! EverythingDucks, the smallest all brown is a KC. I was really hoping to not have any mallards and hoped beyond hope for a rouen! The swedish is a nice surprise as well! I know they are still downy and it's quite early to tell hen/drake (their voices are still chick-like so no...
The bigger birds (dappled) are khaki campbell. One drake and two hens. The smaller all brown duckling is also a Campbell. She's beginning to show the same color pattern as the older hens but still could be a drake, though I dont think it's likely. The black swedish is not a bad ID. It very well...
I purchased 4 ducklings from the assorted straight run bin at a local feed store and would like to know the breeds of them. I'm certain one is a khaki campbell as I already have 3. I think one is a mallard (black with brown/gold lacing) and one may be a muscovy (black and white). I may be wrong...
Gah. this has been the most frustrating purchase OF MY LIFE lol! I had a Samsung washing machine that died, was recalled and warranty wasn't covered while still under warranty that I'd rather endure again than this. Haha
I fight the urge to be peeved on a daily basis. Especially considering many of the "pullets" were Easter Eggers (in fact, all but this guy was EE except 2 silver laced wyandotte pullets that died of mysterious, sudden. deaths shortly after bringing them home and are, to date, the ONLY birds...

He is gorgeous. When he was a wee bird, we named "her" Sophia Birdgara (we have actor/actress theme here lol). Now, he's just sophia the non-hen. His crow sounds like a child screaming, though. Very unnerving. Haha
She has since deleted all of her ads online and our communication method wasn't via phone. 🤦 I wish I could still contact her, though as I paid $20 per PULLET.
I purchased this "pullet" back in March. Obviously, he is not a she. But the breeder also stated he was an english lavender wyandotte. I am curious though, if he is rather a red laced blue splash wyandotte. Pic one is of a cockerell I found online and pic 2 is of the roo in question. The breeder...
I haven’t ever used a large hatchery. If I do - I’ll use Murray McMurray but I shop locally at small hatcheries where I can see the farm they are raised at and support local farmers at the same time.
