I went to collect eggs from my chickens today when i found that my bantams had laid a VERY small egg!
Have any of you guys had this happen to you before? let me know!

no you dont need anything for their skin they are built with thicker skin than normal chickens
and not all of them are boys they can be girls and the person meant chicken as in a hen
In referance to our naked neck cockerel
someone said to me
'Oh my gosh! That chicken has got sunburn on her neck! Look the heat burnt her feathers off!'
i said
'Two things, one the 'chicken' is a cockerel and its supposed to look like that.'
then they replied
'Ohhhhhhhh so its neck isnt burnt?'...
I think they look so cute when they go through losing their down feathers! awh he obviously cares for them :D
Our chicks are outside in a chicken house but they were hatched from a broody so she keeps the warm

And it took me ages to get them to stay still especially Keaki! Although Kiwi is a natural model i held the camera up and she posed :D I love them all to bits I wish they could stay like it too :) but I like seeing what they look like when...
I have some 3 week old chicks and they are all running around and active,we have 13 little chicks 3 naked necks, 3 light sussex, 5 bantams, 2 frizzles and 1 unknown breed.
