I agree, it is most likely in shock since the fencing incident and the abrasion were probably quite traumatic for it. I would check it over and make sure there are no other injuries - if there are more abrasions/cuts/etc. just make sure they are clean and you can apply some antibiotic cream...
Hey, so glad to have you here! Ducks are some of my favorite animals to raise...if you ever get chickens, your ducks will be great companions for them. My ducks keep all the chickens in order and even keep them from fighting!

Thanks so much for the info - I've been cleaning it daily and applying antibiotic (without analgesic) to the site. So far there has been no drainage from the wound or infiltration into surrounding areas - so that's a good sign.
