    She is 6. She was about 6 months old when she started laying. She hasn’t laid an egg in months but has never been a great layer. I’ll see if they will do a fecal for me. She has lost weight too

    Does this look like vent gleet? She's a silkie so her skin is black....makes it kinda hard to see clearly. It really doesn't look like egg matter to me. It almost looks like the white part of their poop

    I’ve had a chicken with a crusty butt. Wormed her with wazine but no improvement. Today I noticed others have a crusty feathers too and I saw something in their poop I’ve never seen before. Does this look like worms?

    My silkie has a black comb but it looks normal. I gave her a bath today and cut the feathers I could not get clean.

    I noticed today my 3 year old silkie has terrible diarrhea. Her backside had poop caked on a hanging from her feathers. The poop is green and watery. She is eating fine but is walking a little slower than normal. What could it be?

    I have a gorgeous rooster that I need to find a home for. He would be a great flock leader. I bought him from a feed store back in April as an Americauna. He is also really sweet and likes to be snuggled. He is great with kids too.

    Also, my CM is mostly black with just a bit of white barring. When you see her from a distance she looks all black. I agree that Belle is darker than Phillipe, but Belle still looks light to me.

    I was thinking the same thing.........if she's mature enough to mate she should be mature enough to lay an egg. So get busy already....it's time to start earning your keep!
