Thank you. I’m feeling so so discouraged. I have never had mites before and I feel so gross.
I don’t have another coop and that link said I need to remove the birds to put that dusting on and also I read it’s super bad for humans and can get in the eggs? It was just in that link you sent
Ohhh boy. Ok so I found a chicken today in my coop with fully frozen feet. So I brought in to put in water to thaw out and hoped to nurse back to health inside. BUT I started noticing tiny black bugs. There are thousands all over her climbing on the towel I’ve wrapped her in. I seriously regret...
Man I hope so. Is it better to keep birds free range or in a run? We’ve had such an issue with worms this year! They free range and eat all sorts of slugs! I keep things clean but yea I feel sick with all the worms we’ve had this year!
Ok so I wormed last night and now there’s full worms in the poo but it really looks like round worms. But there was no round worms in the stool before. Also would the meds I just gave them deworm round worm too?
yes and no. I’m horrible at math. My birds are small, roughly 4lbs each
also I don’t know which birds have the tape but they’ve already stopped laying this year from lack of sunlight so I’m not worried about losing eggs, should I deworm the whole flock? Also I was planning on culling excess...
No photos but 100% sure it’s tape. The pieces were moving. I just had round worm this spring so I know it’s not that.
Any horse wormer? I’ll look that one up! Thanks.
Hellllo!
many little fluffy butts have tapeworm. I can’t get anything at the local store and my vet is saying she can’t get Zimerictin but can get valbazen But that it’s very expensive. Any recommendations?? Thanks!!
I’m pretty sure I may know the answer but I want to see if I’m missing anything.
my birds free range and I haven’t been getting a lot of eggs. Maybe 1 a day and I have 5 hens currently laying. So I locked them up to see if they’re just being sneaky. Still only 2 eggs...
They’re all on chick...
I sold one!
I’m going to run into rooster issues again though! I incubated a bunch of eggs and sold a bunch of hens and kept one rooster and one hen and culled the other Roos. So now I have 5 Viking hens 1 Viking too and 1 golden laced hen and one roo. Plus all the moms just went crazy making...
