Antibiotics and liquid wormer at the same time

Hi can you mix tylosine and zerofen-fenbendozole 10% and give it to the chickens at the same time or wait to do one after the other? We have some head shaking but nothing the eye can see, coop and run is clean and some hopfully crop adjustments. Last worm count 3 months ago was negative vet said...

    New chicks

Thank you, it will be a run in a run, so they get to see each other. It is risky and can end tragically but crossing fingers. We only have 3

Thank you, will do. How does the broody get out to eat. Do we move on day of hatching or wait a couple of days?

    New chicks

Thank you, I was hoping to maybe mix them although worried as we have birds of prey around and a Heron so worried they will get picked off if quite small. Would you keep them in a separate brooder but same run? Our ginger silkie is quite a bully so wanted her to be the mom but maybe they can all...

    New chicks

Hi, our 3 eggs are due to hatch next week under a trio of broodies in our current coops nest box. One egg got snuck in after the 2 on the 15th but there are veins so left it. We will move a hen with the eggs tomorrow or Tuesday into their first rabbit hutch coop in the existing run with food and...

Hello, thank you. Our silkies are always going broody. She wasn't leaving the nest box after laying coming out and going back in but not sitting on any eggs yesterday. I have removed the eggs and will keep an eye on her. I will collect the eggs until she's showing signs again how many days past...

Day 2 She's been off the eggs since the door opened at 7am is that bad? Or can she be off them for awhile?

Old Fashioned Broody Hen Hatch A Long and Informational Thread

We have the same issue, but our broody Silkie is right by the door so can't attach a ramp. We only started allowing her to sit on 4 eggs yesterday as she went broody again. May move her to a separate brooder within the same run of put her on the floor of the coop.
