    Strangest baby chick!

This is the strangest baby chick ever? He's super tiny, has a strange feathers texture, looks crusty, and a bit loud. I think he's precious! But does anyone know why he's so crusty looking? And the feathers texture?

Rescued Silkie hen - Inflating neck?

Thank you so much! We'll purchase the salts soon and start treatment. One last question, is this contagious or transferable to any of the other hens? Or should they be okay?

Rescued Silkie hen - Inflating neck?

I was able to get a peak today. I noticed there are some whitish grey spots on her tongue, just a tad bit lighter than her skin tone. Snowfall has finally happened here, all of the hens are doing well aside from a little grumpiness. I thank everyone for their patience, I'm really hoping to save...

Rescued Silkie hen - Inflating neck?

We have recently rescued about ten hens from a rather horrible situation. This situation consisted of overcrowding, poor water/feed, and no bedding to rest in. Essentially they were kept in a small, narrow, and short pen, with over two dozen birds inside. These hens were filthy, to the point...

TURKEY with a swollen and blistered hock!!

I will keep that in mind and try to manage his weight and growth, if I do see that he's living uncomfortably, I'll make the correct choice. Thank you again for your advice and help, I'll start treatment as soon as possible. Pete thanks you! <3

TURKEY with a swollen and blistered hock!!

Thank you for your advice and suggestions! I do think there was a misunderstanding. We bought these turkeys as pets and have no intention of pulling or processing the birds. Do you believe gout is a manageable condition?

TURKEY with a swollen and blistered hock!!

Thank you for the reply!! Is gout something turkeys usually recover from? Or is there anything particular that causes it aside from the breed? Despite him being a meat turkey our family is deeply attached, it would be heartbreaking to put him down. However, I will keep this in mind for future...

TURKEY with a swollen and blistered hock!!

Hello everyone, Our Tom has what seems to be major blistering and swelling on his hock, with the swelling going down his leg. While he does attempt to walk he can only make it a couple steps with assistance. We first noticed the problem around two days ago, he seems slightly sluggish but...

    Extremely small keet?

He does usually eat and drink yes! The others haven't given him any problems thankfully, he's just a bit more slow then them

    Extremely small keet?

We bought a small group of Guineafowls about a week ago, all is going well aside from one keet. He seems extremely small compared to his siblings, and also a bit weaker and sleepier? I have seen him run around with the others and interact, however he's the first to lay down again. Is this...

We had to clean him up a few more times but he seems to be doing a lot better, using the bathroom without straining as well! Thank you for your help!:D (honorary picture of him puffing lol)

Swollen Turkey chick vent - pasty butt??

We have just recently bought this turkey yesterday, which we noticed a build up of waste on the vent. We took him home and treated him as if it was pasty butt (wiping his vent down, as well as trying to get off all the stuck on waste). This seemed to help better then letting it sit, however he...
