    Sussex Rooster - Brisbane Australia

    Unfortunately we can't keep Wiggles, our beautiful rooster. He is very friendly and only "cock a doodle doos" at 7am, so very quiet. He is lovely in nature and will be very sadly missed. Please let me know if you are interested. Anywhere in Brisbane area - we are happy to drop him to his new home!

    We have named three so far - my two year old has named one wiggles (black and yellow one top left, silver sussex), my five year old has named the other silver sussex top right black lantern (his take on the green lantern superhero) it is all black and we named th blonde scruffy one, bottom left...

    What to plant now while my baby chicks grow! Only two weeks until my baby sussex arrive.

    My intention is to make a frame with chicken wire on the top so the herbs and vegetables can grow without the chickens scratching at the roots and digging them out, but they will be able to peck at the top growth and fertilise them at the same time. Sounds good in theory, I guess we will see how...
