    If the legbar chicks hatch out and make it then I’ll look really closely for the spot on the head. Daddy is a wheaten Ameraucana but I hadn’t heard about the fast feathering. I do know that the males feathering comes in darker than the females so it should be interesting what these do!

    I set the eggs this last Wednesday, so I’ll be candling either this coming Wednesday or Thursday to see if any are developing! Fingers crossed!

    She lays medium colored brown eggs so I’m guessing offspring would lay green but not dark enough to be olive? Every once in a while she will lay a speckled egg but most of the time they are solid brown.

    That is so neat. I kind of figures the resulting pullets would lay green but not the darker olive colors because of that. I’d love a fun variety regardless!

    These were the chicks that my friend hatched out that were the same crosses (my eggs) The black ones started getting barring on their wings so I assume all boys and the yellow ones all looked like the pictures below. But I never got a good look to see if we could find a white head spot. Thoughts?

    Help! My pullet is walking backwards and gasping!

    She can drink but the gasping seems to be worse right after she’s drank water. I’m wondering if the other chicks trampled her. At one point one of them was standing on her neck. So I’m not sure if she was trampled and injured or if she was stepped on after because she was already hurt or sick.
