    Injured wing - recommendations??

Got her cleaned and dressed - wrapped that wing down to her side with Coban, and she’s in a dog crate inside the run. The other wing is pretty thin/sparse, so hopefully it can start to regrow a bit while she’s separated. I have 4 other hens with bald backs from our rooster, but no blood/wounds...

    Injured wing - recommendations??

I found one of our hens like this this morning. She is in a coop with 8 other hens and one rooster. Impossible to tell which of them did this, or if she did it to herself? I have her separated with food and water in a large dog crate. First aid ideas? Obviously needs some antiseptic and styptic...

    Utah!

I may have a cousin in Colorado that can take him, but that means driving him to meet her halfway in Grand Junction. My husband will DEFINITELY think I've gone chicken-crazy if I do that...

I don't have a clue, I found it on KSL. They'll pick up if you're close by depending on what you have. They take birds and goats. They say they are a "sanctuary" for unwanted animals and they act as "foster" parents. Seems kinda sketchy, but who knows. I had to separate him from the girls...

Does anyone know about Hillshrine Farm in Orem? They take unwanted chickens?? Wanna make sure it's legit.

I am hoping someone will either want, or know someone who wants my Americauna cockerel, 12 weeks old. Darn city codes. Message me for more info and pictures. I'm hoping someone can give him a good home, he's VERY sweet.

No, I'm not supposed to...however, I have heard some crowing in the neighborhood occasionally so maybe I'll take a chance....Better to ask forgiveness than permission!!!

Well, I think the time has come. When I went out to the coop to open their windows this morning, my husband and I heard a weak crow. I think Dot may in fact be a boy. I'm going to give him/her a little longer until there's no mistaking it...but I may have an Americauna Mr. in need of a loving...

That's what I'm afraid of :( she's also the bossiest, so that might explain some things. That will be a sad day in my household...we can't have roos, so she/he would have to find a new home... :(

I know they're only 6 weeks old, but my americauna's tail feathers look different than my BR and my 2 BO's tails. Anyone think that "she" might be a "he"?

Hi everyone! My little girls turned 6 weeks old yesterday, and their water heater box house is turning my kitchen into a mess!! Their coop isn't quite ready yet for another couple weeks, so I'd like to move them into the garage with their heat lamp. I'm paranoid about the cold nights, think...

    Utah!

Almost two weeks old and we have all survived...I'm starting to sleep easier at night, and my girls (crossing my fingers there are no boys) seem happy and healthy. And thanks to my water heater going out, the recently moved into new, more spacious living quarters. Aaand...today, they finally...

My husband does the same thing! He wasn't super sold on the idea to begin with, but in just a day, he's converted :)

Neurotic new-mom here. It's officially been 24 hours since our four new fuzzies joined the family. I've adjusted their heat lamp like 20x, soaked and cleaned one bum just in case (I think it was just a little dirty, not blocked), and have spent more time sitting on the floor watching them do...
