Utah!

Hi everyone! My little girls turned 6 weeks old yesterday, and their water heater box house is turning my kitchen into a mess!! Their coop isn't quite ready yet for another couple weeks, so I'd like to move them into the garage with their heat lamp. I'm paranoid about the cold nights, think they'll be okay? I'm in South Jordan and we'll still get a couple nights below freezing I bet.

I just moved my Easter hatch chicks outside. Heat lamp. I didn't even put the cover over them. They did fine. :) It's a nursery hatch. I have talked about the nursery hutch a few times on here, I should get some photos. I'll try today.

Maybe I'll brave it and put mine out as well. My hubby's back from his business trip and he wasn't too happy to get home and find four new chicks living in the bathtub :jumpy The little guys enjoy their time out there in the afternoons. It's kind of funny watching a 2 week old try to take a dirt bath.

You ready for these eggs yet? I am coming to Ogden Sunday morning and meeting someone to drop off chicks about 9:45-10 I could bring these to you for your Mini :D I think you could fit more than 7 because they are small, you could cram a bunch in there and take the turner plates out and hand turn a few days then the extras make up for any clears or quitters. Just holler if you want them Sunday :D I could not remember the dates of your hatch.

I just set the eggs for the school hatch on Monday, so I'm not quite ready. This is why I need at least one more bator

Mine have been out there since day 1. They have been just fine. Good luck!

That's what I'm afraid of :( she's also the bossiest, so that might explain some things. That will be a sad day in my household...we can't have roos, so she/he would have to find a new home... :(

They can trick you though lol. I've had a couple hens that have had pointy feathers that I though we're boys. My rooster crows ALL. DAY. LONG.I got a rooster collar for it but so far it does not seem to work much.
