So glad they are doing well! We currently have a generator but at our last house we did not and power outages were a problem during incubation. I kept a power supply (the kind you would use for your desktop computer) plugged in and the incubator plugged in to that. It saved my eggs when we lost power for a couple hours. For brooders, heat lamps use more wattage, but brooder heat plates are very effective, low wattage, adjustable in heat output, and will run longer on a power supply if there are outages.
