Tonight we will reintroduce Blue Bell at night into the hen house when all the other chickens are asleep. Matt says he will be putting her on the lowest roost bar that Princess usually sleeps on. We will keep you updated!
We are very happy Chickie Parents!! Matt & CJ
Here are our two EE's! They are now grown up and look so beautiful~
Shark & Digger when they were weeks old.
These EE's are so tame, loving and enjoy being held and petted. This is Digger when she was just months old.
She likes to fly up on the chair arm when I am sitting...
Our Blue Bell is a lovely bird. She is a great layer and good with the other 8- Sister Chicks. Good layer, 5-7 eggs per week. Not very friendly, and flies even with clipped wings. She flew into the neighbors yard and got attacked by their dog. She is in recovery. She has let us treat her without...

This is Blue Bell just last month while strolling in the gardens & backyard. Blue Bell has to be our most feisty chicken and definitely our fastest runner & flyer.(even with clipped wing feathers)
Blue Bell has a brightness about her that makes her the most carefree chicken in the bunch, and...

We started the girls on the broken corn and cracked wheat at the beginning of Fall in September. All the girls took very well to it and their egg production has increased to 5 eggs out of 8 layers to 7 out of 8 layers per day...
