    Hi Sarge, Welcome to BYC! We have 8 hens who lay about 4 to 6 eggs per day. The Reds lay almost daily and I read they can lay 250 eggs per year or more. The Andelusian lays only every other day at most. Since it is cold now, they all seem to be slowing down and we get more like 4 eggs a day...

    Thank you Mustangrooster! OH MY Gosh!!! It is 2:42am here and Blue Bell laid an egg in the carrier!! Now I know she is going to be just fine!! Thank God! And YES we have been praying for our chicken! And the bowl she with the rice mix is almost empty!! YAY!!
