Tractor Supply has this netting also. in upstate NY a 100' roll (48" tall) is $30. we lost chicks and full grown chickens to a hawk. the hawk was in the barn cornering our rooster and hens. don't think that having a building to escape to will give them protection from birds of prey.
I have ducklings and have been using one of my kids plastic sleds for a 'pond' they finally have big duck feathers and can safely get wet. It is not deep but they splash and run through the water. it is light and durable.
Crockpot our Golden Comet rooster has had a few changes this fall. He is missing feathers on his wings and back along with his tail. Today it is snowing in upstate NY, so his um... tail is a bit cold. I like his one tail feather that it left.
