Interesting article, I have him on chick feed now but what should his diet be? He is more alert, I only seen him peck at food once, He will get up once and a while but is unsteady on his feet. his poop is still the same, it looks good, nice and solid not runny. I lost a few roosters the same way...

    Sick Roster

I will do what I can, I will take him off the layer feed because I read that could affect roosters too but he's been eating it with all the other for years. his poop is still good, he just want to sit with his eyes closed. he's still not eating or drinking. Other than the 3 symptoms there is not...

But when he does walk its like he is drunk and has a hard time standing. He doesn't have the symptom's of Marek's. I...

    straight legs

I just hatched some silkies. One of them sits on her butt with her legs straight out in front of her. She is very alert. When she tries to stand she falls on her back. She kind of walks if you hold her butt up. it almost like she has a joint problem or top heavy and falls back. The other chick...

    fermented feed freezing

How do you keep it from freezing when you put it outside? I made a small batch for my chicks inside and haven't put any outside yet. I would think it would freeze if they didn't eat it fast enough. it in the 20s outside, the girls have heat lamps high up but the floor is freezing in the coop.
