I'm a little confused why a couple of you seem to think I was offended. I simply said you might be right and explained why I purposely went for RIR's. so I'll be a little dissapointed if I didn't get RIR's but not offended by the comment.
you might be right about them not being RIR's but I didn't buy them from tractor supply where they had production red's I bought them from my local feed store where they brought in RIR's. I did this for several reasons 1 I felt better know what type it was and 2 I heard RIR's were very disease...
we took 1 photo and the camera battery died on us. the one we took the picture of was the largest one and the one we most were concerned about being a roo. the smallest of the 3 has a tinge of pink to it's comb but still mostly yellow
my wife and I are new to raising chickens, but not to animals we have several large macaws and a jack russel. we want to add a goose to our crew at some point too. We were so glad to find this site it has helped us answer so many questions and given us so many ideas already.
