That makes me so happy!🥰 Surprisingly she’s still with mom, I tried to separate them but mama wasn’t happy. Hoping to integrate Chickie in with my other hen and rooster. They’ve been getting outside time together and so far no issues at all! 🤞🏻
Yea I unplugged the incubator and broke open the egg today 😔 looking forward to a spring hatch! Also looking to add some copper marans chicks and show quality silkies chicks to my flock in the spring. Happier times ahead ☺️❤️
My chick is 4 weeks and 2 days old, so far her comb is still really small so hoping she is a pullet! They were all out enjoying the sun yesterday ☺️ your little chick is so cute!!
At least a week late I think.. this Sunday if there’s nothing I’m going to unplug the incubator :( definitely learnt a lot during this scatter hatch lol 😆 here’s some pics of mama and baby ☺️. Baby was playing piggy back! I will be so happy if this chick turns out to be a pullet❤️
So far no other chicks hatched from the incubator, I broke two eggs that were in the incubator with dead chicks inside. I still have one egg in the incubator that still has veins but hasn’t hatched… the one chick that mama hatched is doing so well! I think it might be pullet☺️ I’ll try again...
Thank you for everything in the last few days❤️ I think there’s one more egg in the incubator that should hatch. This is the last time I’m letting a mom sit on a clutch of eggs… staggered hatches are not for me 😓
Unfortunately baby chick just passed away, I came in to check on her at work and she was pretty weak. She was fairly strong this morning standing up on her feet a bit better. But she hasn’t been wanting to eat her chick feed….. I gave her a-couple drops of electrolytes and shortly after she...
After wrapping her legs she’s definitely more sturdy and standing up. Her other leg started popping out too so I massaged that one back into place and wrapped it…. I don’t know what’s going on with this chick. I’m going to bring her to work with me tomorrow so I can monitor her and supplement...
