    It is just her skin from the thigh up the back and breast. I would say about 10 to 15% of her skin is gone.

    Yesterday I had a Northern Goshawk got to my chickens killing one,and injuring two. Today when I got home one of the injured ones was hopping badly. I lifted up her wing to see no skin left. Is she saveable?

    I have a 22 week old Java who has been laying for three weeks. Today she did not leave the nesting box and did not like me moving her to get the egg. What is up?

    I have a 20 week old Java that has been laying for about two weeks now. All the eggs have been large to ex-large and double yolks. Is this common?

    My 19 week old Java may not be using the nesting box, but her fifth egg (large darker one), looks good enough to eat. Now the wait is on for the Black Americana to start laying!
