Yep..so i buy salt free frozen peas..thaw under warm water...leave damp grind up oyster shell in coffee grinder now toss the wet peas in dust and you have protein and your calcium..and they love it.. blue berries work well too.
My one is being plucked!! And others now and then have a spot.BUT one is always perfect...hmmmm?? DO you have a perfect one ? Or culprit i should say..
Im glad she is still alive. Mine along with egg bound low calcium got a grey white pasty but.(but not diarhea ..doc had me put 4 teaspoons of apple cider to a gallon of drinking water For 3 days..doing well now..did the trick soooo glad she is better..fyi i still check mine every three days...
By calcium for chickens(oyster shell) blend it into powder(i use a coffee bean grinder)WET small pieces of veggies,meal worms etc and toss in the powder. It coats them well.i would stay away from binding bread if they have not pooped.it has helped my egg bound girl..
Chicks have mult. Normal poops some pretty brown loose snd stinky...there is a poop chart just google chicken poop chart....you will be amazed and the fear of bad poop will be gone lol it helped me!
Well mine is at it again. Back to vet large egg stuck. Nice large hard egg came out after doc moved it around at 6:30 pm..But the next day 11:00 am...3 hard eggs and one soft rubber broken one...(i have 4 hens) driving me crazy and expensive!i hope your is doing better. ?????
This week one of my hens was holding tail down and Sad. ..next say a soft egg broke inside..YUCK! Took her to Vet and she did digital exam and said had a huge egg still inside. cleaned out some gunk and another exam....and was carrying her to back and the egg fell out!...she told me she needed...
She is a black australorp..i do not have roosters only four hens. I would love to give her fertile eggs or babies but i have been told the other three will kill them. No room for another coop our town will not allow it no roosters either..soo if eggs hatched and they are roosters i cant keep...
one of mine has bald spot red inflamed. I have no idea.putting neosporin on it no one else has it either. And we also had a bad winter. would love to hear a answer.:-(
