trust me. You're the best help I've had on BYC so far! We have al lot of mixes too, I'm not fond of them tho, because I like pure bred so you can breed your chickens and show them.Thanks, I'll let you know what I decide on. I think I'm gonna order mine tomorrow!!!
Yeah, it is kinda a bummer :/ Welsummer is a nice breed to show but there commonly skittish and I'm looking for banties, and Cackle Hatchery doesn't sell bantam Welsummers. No prob on the information about Polish, Houdans I think are must better because there really sweet
Oh, and Cochins are hard to show also and my Frizzle Cochin is kinda mean :/
Yeah, we've raised all those before, I wouldn't recommend Polish though. The newer strains are REALLY flighty....I have a Silkie but after a while you get sick of them being broody and there hard to show. I'd get some d'Uccles but the hatchery that I'm buying from has those all sold out :/
