Same here. I've been putting hay down in the run to help them from sinking in it. I can't wait for it to be dry enough to give the coop a good cleaning. I might even wash off the chickens a little haha:p

Rural King! Especially the one in Clarksville! They don't have as much of a selection as they did in the spring/summer but they still have several different breeds and probably what you're looking for:)

Advice on Adding Chickens to Flock:

Chicken are super curious creatures aren't they? I love it haha though it can be problematic at times. Sorta off topic but today my fiancé drove my car to go out of town and when he came back home my little chickens came running up to the car thinking it was me! How adorable is that? :wee

I keep my originals in the backyard and when they free range they stay in the backyard and never migrate to the front. My plan was to keep the newbies on the front porch until quarantine is over. Do you think I could still let the OG's free range or should I just wait it out?

Yes that is our plan as well to have a nice sturdy "temporary" coop. And I am sorry to hear about your bad luck with that stray dog:/. That is always a possibility I suppose though we have an outside dog who keeps the place safe for them. Our dog, Willow, is actually a secret chicken whisperer I...

It is a coop and run combination, and since they at bantams it is large for them and thy seem to enjoy their coop. They at out most days anyways.

Advice on Adding Chickens to Flock:

I don't remember the exact measurements anymore but I think it's something like 7 feet tall, about 3-4 feet deep and 6 feet wide. However, the way it is constructed I don't think it would be easy to section off like you're suggesting. I was planning on keep the new bird in a chicken tractor...

Advice on Adding Chickens to Flock:

In a few weeks I am going to be getting three new d'Uccle hens and since I already have two (cochin bantam) hens and a (bantam) rooster, I thought I'd ask for some advice on how to get started adding them to the flock. I have read that I should keep them separate from the "originals" but keep...
